Jubilee launches new website

September 1, 2016

Jubilee Residences Inc. is excited to announce the launch of its newly designed website, which goes live today, September 1, 2016 and is located at the same address: www.Jubileeresidences.ca.

The new site offers a fresh look and easier navigation. The responsive design means users will be able to find the same information and essentially the same look whether they are using their desktop, tablet or smart phone.

The site’s home page welcomes visitors with a clean uncluttered design and features a video depicting everyday life for the residents who reside in Jubilee’s two long-term care homes; Porteous Lodge and Stensrud Lodge.

The main objective in designing the site was to offer users a quicker, easier way to find the information they are looking for so they can make that all-important decision when choosing the right care home or housing for themselves or a loved-one.

“We wanted the new website to be warm and inviting and better reflect the atmosphere of our care homes and our affordable housing,” says Jubilee Residences Inc. CEO Yvonne Morgan.

The new website will also make it easy for Jubilee supporters to donate on-line.  Another exciting feature is the ability for friends and family to send a message to a resident. When a message is sent, staff will hand deliver the message to the intended recipient.

“Who doesn’t love receiving a letter from a friend or family member,” says Yvonne Morgan.  “This small feature will enable family and friends to keep in touch on a daily basis, and bring a smile to a loved one’s face.”

Jubilee Residences Inc. partnered with the Saskatoon website design agency Island Collective for the new website.  The Island team consisted of Cody Schumacher and Andrew Scott.

“We started this project off with the vision of creating a new platform for Jubilee Residences to reach the community and we are excited about the final product,” says Island Collective Inc. Technical Director and Owner Andrew Scott.  “The new website gives visibility to Jubilee Residences and the important contributions Jubilee is making in our community to both long-term care and access to affordable housing.”

The Island team was present during every stage of the project; from strategy, to conceptualization, to development.

“Their experience, skills and hands-on approach made the entire process very easy,” says Jubilee Residences Inc. Communications Consultant Trish Cheveldayoff.  “Their weekly updates ensured the project stayed on track and on budget.”

The launch of the new website coincides with the recent launch of a new Facebook page for Jubilee Residences Inc.

“Jubilee Residences Inc has been a part of the Saskatoon community for over 60 years, providing much needed quality care to older adults,” says Yvonne Morgan. “It’s important we get the word out.  It’s important we tell our story.”

Jubilee will continue to work on improving the experience for users, residents and their families. The website will be updated on a regular basis, with new events and other new content.
